Sponsor a chair & improve someone's education
We want to recognize those of you who are financially able to go above and beyond to keep CSA growing both in our efforts at outreach and in keeping our church stable in this time of apparent economic challenge.
Like many of you are doing with your household accounts we are always looking for ways to help keep expenses in line with our present income. We’ve cut our janitorial time in half and blessedly one of our members (who happens also to be a college professor) has stepped up to clean on Saturdays! Our Men’s Ministry has taken on mowing the lawns and keeping up the parking lot, Rosemary and Rosie are taking turns making the flower arrangements, Billie Montgomery is handling sound at the 8:30am service, and at least one member brings in 9 doz cookies for after church fellowship.
And still, we have a little shortfall each week. So, new board member, Jenni Martin, after learning that it costs about $26 per chair per week to pay for our operational expenses and help pay down the loans, has come up with a wonderful idea to encourage the sponsorship of empty chairs.
We are listing the names in the Sunday bulletin of anyone (or whomever they wish) who donates $26 weekly for a chair, in addition to their own.. One must commit to a minimum of 3 months. You can see Jenni after church or call the office and speak to Rev. Georgia
And that’s not all! On the front of the card that will list the names of chair sponsors is space for 5 business cards. You can let your congregation know you support CSA by taking out a space for your business card or a message by purchasing the space for $300 a month. Your card will appear each Sunday and all of these funds will go to our new Education Scholarship Fund. We are here to help people change lives and we want anyone who wants to uplift themselves through education to have a chance. So, for some children, men, and women of this church who are seeking a scholarship we may soon be able to help.
For any of these programs we ask that you sign up for our new Electronic Funds Transfer program. It’s easy. We have a form you can fill out just like at your gym. With ours, however, you can stop it or change the amount with 48 hours notice.
