Sunday, December 4th, 2022 5:15PM Families/Children 6:30PM Adult Only Spiral
During the Advent Spiral, we celebrate the turning point in the year when the days become their shortest and the nights their longest, and we look for the light that comes from within. The mood is hushed and reverent as participants enter the darkened room. Evergreens are a symbol of life everlasting. Arranged in a spiral, the path represents the path of life. The apple is a picture of the body, the house that we live in. The flame of the candle is the flame of our individual human spirit. Walking the Spiral is an imaginative experience of our individual spirit light / life on Earth, and how it is able to dispel the darkness around us. In community, our spirits shining together shed a mighty light.
